Private Technique Work / Private Coaching for Adults
Private or semi-private instruction is offered and is designed on a completely individualized basis. Beth works closely with the swimmers to determine what the goals of the session are, and designs a customized lesson plan from there. Length of class, as well as location and time, are determined individually. This option is great for swimmers and tri-athletes looking to take their skill level and stroke technique to the next level.
Level I:
This level of private work is designated for stroke analysis and technique corrections at a basic level. This option is great for swimmers who may not feel confident in their stroke, or in some cases, don’t know what it is they are looking for in their strokes to begin with. This option introduces a lot of drills addressing the basics of stroke and the fundamentals of things such as body position, balance in the water, drag and resistance. Frequency of sessions is determined by Beth and the swimmer.
Level II:
This level is a great option for swimmers who are looking to a multifaceted approach to their swimming. This option combines technique work with training. Swimmers will be held accountable at all times for information given and will be expected to take the front seat in their swimming progressions.Swimmers will be involved in all areas of this level as this level includes goal setting, mental approach and a willingness to participate in a more thorough understanding of their training and stroke.Swimmers selecting this level will learn how to keep a training log and will be responsible for tracking progressions. This level is great for ANYONE (regardless of skill level) looking for focused results.
This option is offered in two different ways:
Option I: Beth will organize a technique and training-based workout regimen based around the swimmer's goals. Swimmer will meet with Beth 1 time for an overall analysis and Beth will provide organized workouts for the swimmers based on goals and frequency of training to last through the duration of their desired training period. Swimmers and Beth will have a weekly check in via phone or e-mail to discuss and track progress and concerns.
Option II: Beth will organize a technique and training-based workout regimen based around the swimmer's goals. Swimmer will meet with Beth once weekly to train and track progress on training and stroke. ADULT LEARN-TO-SWIM
First on all, THERE IS NOTHING EMBARASSING ABOUT NOT KNOWING HOW TO SWIM AS AN ADULT!! So we need to get that out of our heads right away!
Beth's Adult Learn-to-Swim class has grown quite popular since it's inception in Spring of 2012. The class is run with a maximum of four students in an environment where the three common factors in learning how to swim as an adult are addressed in a comfortable and confident environment: fear, embarassment and respect for the water.
Whether you are looking at how to improve your fitness through water-based activities, knowledge of survival skills and confidence in the water, or if you are ready to take on that triathlon you've been planning - our adult-learn-to-swim program is the way to go!
